Sweet-Tuned Piano

Famous American composer and conductor, Leonard Bernstein stayed at the Ritz Hotel in Madrid in 1984.

In hope that he would not be able to resist temptation to play it during his stay, the Ritz management had purposely tuned the piano at the entrance of the restaurant.

Their foresight was rewarded. One day, while walking past the piano he stopped and started to play a few notes.

Frowned, tried again and closed the lid with the comment that the piano did not sound right! Everybody was puzzled, the tuner arrived once more to check out the piano and the mystery was solved!

The hotel pianist had forgotten a plate of cake in the entrails of the instrument!
